Citizens Against Government Waste is the nation’s largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government. CAGW's strength has been, and always will be, our more than one million members and supporters.

government. Over time, the structure inevitably results in stagnation and inefficiency, laying the groundwork for fraud and waste. As famed free-market economist Milton Friedman explained, government agencies are doomed to be less efficient than consumers shopping for themselves with their own money, or even shopping for themselves with other people’s money.
